One of the best things about yoga (if not THE best), is that after each practice, you really do grow and you really do transcend into a higher self. You become enlightened by your own abilities and the miracles of your amazing body. You learn, you discover a lot about yourself, and you gain a great deal of humility. When all of this radiates from ourselves, we put peace into our lives and into the lives of those around us.
Hehe, the little things that make us happy…what was it for you today? :) For me, it was turning on my engine, and hearing the beautiful sounds of a symphony on the radio. ‘Twas so pleasant and comforting for my chakras right after a 90-minute hot Vinyasa flow ^__^

From their new, fabulous album :)

I feel like I’m in a dream when I listen to this song. I think it’s so, so perfect for Surya Namaskar and Savasana.

Ben Harper- Blessed to be a Witness

This is such a haunting and beautiful song. I don’t believe it is meant to be enjoyed exclusively by the religious. If you really listen, there is a deeper meaning that can be shared with all.

I love listening to this when practicing a deep stretch or restorative yoga, along with Savasana.

You are your body’s witness to its own glory.

Namaste.

Wooooo! Excite your warrior with the sexy Lykke Li ;)

This tune will get your asana movin’, for sure! Get some.

I want to twirl and dance in a forest
to the soft wind rustling through the trees,
to the birds harmonizing with the chorus of the wind,
to the crisp leaves sparkling under my feet,
to the vibrations of the animals trotting on the leaves,
to the bubbling waters of a nearby creek,
to the toppling rocks through the cascading waters,
to the music of the earth,
that twirls and dances to my breath.

UNF.

It’s funny how all of my Sistinis (Yogini Sisters) and Brogis (Yogi Brothers) have this song on our playlist. We get so fueled up when this song comes on while we’re in the middle of our Vinyasa. It’s just so raw…and so sexy…it just is somehow.

Try it. Excite your warrior.
